Carolina Cornea and Laser Center

 

Dr. Parker received her M.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia cum laude in 1982.  She graduated in the top 5% of the class and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.  After completing her internship in internal medicine at the University of  Colorado in Denver, she performed ophthalmology research at the University of Colorado studying corneal inflammation.  She next completed her Ophthalmology Residency and Cornea Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

 

In 1989, she established a consulting corneal practice in Greenville, SC.  She has been actively involved in the medical and surgical management of corneal disease as well as practicing general ophthalmology.  She started performing LASIK in December of 1998 and has performed more than 7,000 LASIK procedures.  She is the leading and most experienced Surgeon-Care LASIK surgeon in Upstate South Carolina.  She continues to perform corneal transplants and cataract surgery as well.

 

Dr. Parker is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of numerous professional societies including the International Society of Keratorefractive Surgery and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
