Why is there such variability in the pricing of laser vision correction at
various laser facilities?
Many facilities will use the bait and switch technique to entice patients to
initiate a relationship with the laser center. Patients are, then, told that
the price will be higher if they have astigmatism, a certain type of glasses prescription,
want the better laser, want a laser flap, want free enhancements in a variable
time in the future, etc. One has to be very savvy not to get swept up into this
type of sell job.
