Anne V. Parker, M.D.

Dr. Anne Parker is the founder of Carolina Cornea and Laser Center and a fellowship-trained cornea specialist serving Greenville and the Upstate of South Carolina. Dr. Parker earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, graduating in the top five percent of her class.

Following medical school, Dr. Parker completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Colorado, followed by a year of dedicated ophthalmology research at the University of Colorado studying alkali burns to the cornea. She then completed her ophthalmology residency and cornea fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, one of the nation’s leading eye hospitals — currently ranked No. 2 in the country for ophthalmology by U.S. News & World Report.

This depth of training gives Dr. Parker specialized expertise in the medical and surgical management of corneal disease, along with extensive experience in LASIK, refractive cataract surgery and implantation of the EVO ICL. Since founding Carolina Cornea, she has remained committed to bringing the same level of training and technology she encountered at Wills Eye to patients throughout the Upstate — combined with the personalized attention of a boutique eye care practice.

Dr. Parker’s life outside of ophthalmology includes her 3 grown sons who are very accomplished in their own right, twin granddaughters who keep everyone on their toes, competitive ballroom dancing, chess, and travel.
